Beyond Scuba's Before & After: Caribbean Sponge

27 June 2017
Caribbean Sponge

I was in a hurry when I took this picture. As you can see my haste resulted in poor colours and a bad composition.

However, that does not mean the photo should be deleted.

Using the right software I adjusted the whitebalance in an undestructive manner. Then I cropped the image to the 3:4 ratio and saturated the blues and yellows a bit.

That is all it took for me to get the best out of this image!

Of course it is better to get it right in-camera, but that is just not always the case… Even the best make mistakes… The beauty of post-processing is that there is room to learn.

You can make mistakes without your effort going to waste, without photo souvenirs of a beautiful dive(trip) being lost….

That is where Beyond Scuba offers a helping hand: http://www.beyondscuba.com/editing.html
